TRACK of HORNS
Transart
Bolzano, Italy
19 September 2015
In TRACK of HORNS Wrånes works with sound as architecture. Trolls turn up in the Italian Alps, and the ski lifts are used as an acoustic, mobile sound system. Musicians have been placed in the lifts along with the audience, while other musicians have been spread out along the path below. Three alphorn players stand in a grove, a singer hangs from a tree, and a troll lies on the ground snoring loudly. Below the lift a choir is singing. Cows are grazing with twelve-tone bells around their necks, representing an uncontrollable element in the composition.
